To build a fellowship of Foster/Adoptive parents who can provide support and encouragement to each other and a starting point for those who feel called but are not sure of their next step.

Foster and Adoption Ministry will provide a place were families can come together and share their lives, their challenges, their tears and their joys. Christian families who are providing a home for Foster or Adoptive children will have a support system where they can share their joys, frustrations, and draw strength from God and each other to ensure that families are successful in their service to God's children.

Foster and Adoption Ministry News and Events

November is Adoption Awareness Month

Thank You San Antonio Families

The Foster Adoption Ministry would like to thank Olive Crest, OC4Kids, Heart Gallery, CASA, and Bethany for donating their time at our Sunday Adoption Awareness Event. It was time well spent to help spread the word on how families and individuals can make a difference in childrens' lives.

THANK YOU to the many families that said "YES" to love a child. We had 18 signups with the various organizations!!! We also know there are parishioners who are still praying for their role in God's call. Please keep all of these families in your prayers.

Please contact Michael and Maryanne Fahey with any questions at (714) 970-0064.

Be a Child's Voice in Court!

CASA - Court Appointed Special Advocates WANTED!

CASA of Orange County is seeking volunteers to serve as advocates and mentors for abused, abandoned and neglected children. A CASA volunteer visits with a child they are matched with on a regular basis, interacts with all professionals involved in the case and makes recommendations directly to the court, ensuring the child's best interests are not overlooked. Volunteers must be 21 years old and be able to dedicate 10-15 hours per month. For more information about volunteering, please call (714)619.5155 or visit our website: www.casaoc.org

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, is calling out to Hispanic adults to become CASA volunteers to advocate for Hispanic children who have been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect and who now reside in the foster care system. Approximately 50% of the children in foster care are Hispanic – however there is a great need to increase volunteer diversity as less than 10% of CASA advocates are Hispanic. "Our CASA Hispanic children are in great need of that special person that can help them get through the intimidating and confusing court process," said Michael Piraino, the National CASA Association's Chief Executive Officer. "Having a CASA volunteer whom the child can culturally identify with, encourages them to freely communicate their needs, ultimately resulting in the successful placement of the child." GET INVOLVED!!!! For more information, please contact Lynda Sloan at (714) 619-5155 or visit our web site: www.casaoc.org
