When San Antonio Parish was created 40 years ago, our family had recently moved to the area and we attended mass at El Rancho Middle School. We were soon delighted to learn that we would have a new parish! At the time we had one daughter, Jeannie, who was six-years-old.
Our second daughter, Julia, was born in 1977 and was baptized by Father Seamus at a home of a parishioner (Note: In the photo that everyone is laughing because she tried to drink the water during the baptism.) Thirty years later Father Seamus performed the wedding ceremony for Julia and her husband, Tim. They are now very busy physicians in Salt Lake City and they have two small children, Andrew and Leah. Daughter, Jeannie, and family live in San Diego. Both she and Julia were confirmed at San Antonio Church.
We have very fond memories of the 40 years at San Antonio Parish. The priests and the parishioners have always been very welcoming and charitable.
