My husband, Harlan Rogers and I came to San Antonio Parish in 2003. We were welcomed by Fr. Seamus and we have enjoyed the friendliness of the parish.
I first joined San Antonio Women and delighted in the many activities they had and began meeting many wonderful women. Then after several years I was asked to become president of the group for two years .
Family Assistance appealed to me because of the good work it does for the community. So, I volunteered there for 10 years.
The Fiesta is a fun place to work and meet fellow parishioners. We helped in the Italian booth often.
After Harlan retired, he began working with me at the Catholic Worker in Santa Ana. Here we prepare dinners for the clients living there once a month and also prepare dinner for the following evening for the homeless at the Santa Ana Civic Center.
