The Family Assistance program is a charitable service designed to provide temporary assistance to families throughout north Orange County who need some form of financial support. The program’s primary mission is to provide rental assistance to low income, working families who have encountered an unexpected situation that temporarily affects their ability to meet their financial obligations.
The work of this ministry is totally funded through the generous donations of the San Antonio community. As stewards of these funds, the Family Assistance ministry takes great care to allocate these funds appropriately to qualifying families. Ministry volunteers from the parish conduct thorough screening and interview sessions with prospective families to identify and verify the need for support.
Prospective client families requesting assistance must meet several guidelines to be qualified for receiving assistance from the Ministry including:
- Must have children living full-time with the parent(s), under the age of 18.
- A parent must be working full-time, at least 32 hours a week, with the current employer. Earnings must be by paycheck.
- Families must have sufficient income to sustain normal living expenses.
- Must live in one of the following communities - Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, Tustin or Yorba Linda.
